The weekend was filled with lots of fun things to do! Jeremy was actually off on Monday, so he was glad to have a 3 day weekend and a break from all of the overtime.
Friday night, my bestest friend Ashley came over and helped me make over 70 cupcakes for Landon's birthday party on Saturday. She even decorated them for me while I made the pasta salad! Friday night Landon had a weeball game. Boy was it hot outside. We went to eat with Jeremy's parents afterwards, and finally made it home at almost 11.
Saturday started off early because Landon had to be on the ball field by 8 AM for pictures. Thankfully, Jeremy was willing to take him so I could get started on his birthday celebration. We had his party at a local church life center and I am so thankful to Ashley for getting there early and helping me set up and staying late to help me get everything back in order. It was much appreciated! The birthday party was a carnival theme, so he had a bouncy house, face painting, pin the nose on the clown, and a pinata along with some great food. Of course of all days to forget, I forgot my camera. Thankfully Ivy brought hers, so when I get the pictures from her, I'll post some!
Sunday was church and then the dreaded trip to the grocery store. (Ive determind that's where most of my money goes).
Monday, we had a cookout with some dear friends from Church, and another couple (Ryan and Sarah) that I was so glad to meet! (Micah is a doll, and I love the grunts!!). Then we were off to another birthday party. It was outside, and if you remember the temperatures from Monday, it was hot!
While Tuesday meant back to the normal routine of dishes, laundry, cooking and cleaning, it was great to have a fun filled weekend!

Fun in the Sun
Ashley and Kari and Malachi came over last Thursday and we let the kids play outside on the slip n slide, the sprinkler and with water guns. They had such a good time! Somehow, I think Ashley and I were more drenched than they were.
On a different note, I'm learning everyday how to trust God and not try to figure it out myself. I have such a hard time with patience and trying to get everything figured out in my head (my plan). Most of the time though, (almost always actually), my time is no where near Gods time. There are several things that Jeremy and I have been praying about lately. Life changing things really. But when it seems we get a bit of good news, something always happens and we end up backtracking. Learning to wait on Gods time is so important. I'd rather be in His will than be out of His will and trying to do things my own way and get it messed up. I'm so glad for my church family at Olde Path Holiness that show unending support and encouragement towards us! We definately have been blessed with an awesome Church family :)

Weekend Fun!!
Landon had his first weeball game this weekend. He had a blast! He loves this and basketball so much better than soccer! This is Landon up to bat for the Cubs!!
After piddling around for a bit, we met some of our good friends Matt and Kelli Simpson and their son Porter in Lexington to eat at Regattas and feed the ducks in the pond out by the resturant. Landon and Porter had such a good time! We sat outside and loved eating by the water. Makes me wish I lived on the beach! Sunday we had an AWESOME church service. While I miss Bro. David and Sis. Karen, I know that Bro. Chris and Sis. Lacey are going to be great in their new role as Pastor and Pastor's wife!
A special thanks to Ivy today for helping me set my blog up! Actually, for setting my blog up! Ha! I wasn't much help at all :)
